Taking a Break

It's been a while since I took a break from the fictional side of things. Inspiration is lacking, though, and I'm tired and just want to go to bed. At least this time I'm not depressed!

This project has been going fairly well, I think. Sometimes it's just rambling, sometimes it's bizarre, and every once and a while I land on a piece of fiction I'm really happy with. “Stowaway”, for example, is a really interesting foundation. I probably won't do anything with it, but it makes me happy to know I can still come up with ideas.

The photo-a-day is proving more difficult. I might give it up in the new year. I've found that, contrary to the writing, it's actually drained some of my enthusiasm for photography. Probably because so many of my subjects are mundane. Whatever I happen to have lying around the house, since most days I don't go anywhere interesting. Still pondering that, so we'll see. Either way, I'll still post favorites when something worth exploring comes up.

Hoping again that inspiration returns tomorrow. With this ongoing process, though, I am more and more confident that it will.
