“Blue?”
“Gods, no, I can't stand blue.”
“Red, then?”
“Nah, red is so... pedestrian.”
“Pearl?”
“Ooh, I could get behind pearl. What's the price looking like?”
“Ten years of servitude for the lowest rank.”
“Well, that's out, then. I've only got credit for five.”
“The best you can get for five is a middle-rank turquoise.”
“That's just a fancier way of saying blue.”
“Look, are we going to be here all day?”
“Sorry! I'm just very particular about my mana-weavings. You knew that when we came in.”
“I know, it's just... I would like to be able to eat at some point.”
“Maybe we can bargain them down on the pearl?”
“From ten down to five? Not likely.”
“Let me see... scratch-and-dent silver is six. We may be able to bargain that.”
“I guess so, as long as it's in decent enough shape and they let us look it over. Last time I went from that bin, my spells kept leaking magic into the floor.”
“Sounds like a plan. Could we get a salesman over here?”
